Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.

Hi, I’m Adriana (she/her).
I came to this work believing in the quiet power of self-curiousity, and an awareness of the vulnerability it often brings. Early on, I also knew I wanted to help others.
That desire grew and took shape through my studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I obtained my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and at the University of the Incarnate Word, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology. With over 8 years of experience in the field, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan, from early childhood through late adulthood. Post-licensure, I received supervision in psychodynamic theories at Clarity Child Guidance Center, where I currently provide services to children, adolescents, and families. Across settings and stages of life, these experiences have deepened my appreciation for therapy as a space for reflection, insight, and meaning-making, and for the importance of a steady, attuned presence as individuals navigate change, uncertainty, and growth.

About Therapy.
I work from a contemporary psychoanalytic, relational and psychodynamic lens-which is the long way of saying we will utilize curiosity to explore your inner and outer world, your relationship patterns, early experiences, and unresolved issues that continue to shape your present life.
This approach is grounded in the understanding that:
Each individual is unique
We are shaped by our relationships and life experiences (past and present)
Some thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by processes outside of conscious awareness
Emotions and symptoms carry meaning, even when they feel confusing or overwhelming
People are not fixed; we remain in an ongoing process of growth and development throughout our lives
Change takes place over time
The therapeutic relationship itself is a meaningful space for exploration and change
Therapy is a process of discovery and a space to slow down and make sense of what feels confusing, painful or stuck. Together, we will fully examine the layers that accompany the patterns that contribute to distress-where they come from, what purpose they once served, and how they continue to show up. Insight in this work is not only intellectual, but emotional and felt, emerging through reflection, lived experience, and the unfolding of the therapeutic relationship itself.
As this understanding deepens, many people find they are better able to tolerate difficult thoughts and feelings, respond more flexibly to stress, and experience a wider range of emotional and relational possibilities. The aim is not simply symptom relief, but growth that feels integrated and lasting-supporting greater freedom, creativity, and spontaneity across all parts of life.
Working with me is a collaborative, thoughtful dialogue. From the beginning, we work together to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I aim to create a space where you can feel met with warmth, and curiosity rather than judgement, allowing us to explore your experience from a fresh and meaningful perspective. While therapy can bring up discomfort or uncertainty at times, my approach is grounded in authenticity, transparency, and care.
This can be especially helpful for individuals:
Who notice recurring patterns that may persist even after trying other forms of support
Difficulties feel longstanding, repetitive, and complex
Advice from others, self-help books, and yes, even AI have done their best…but relief and change still feel out of reach
While my work is primarily depth-oriented, I also integrate practical, skill-based approaches when helpful and that support overall therapeutic goals
I often work with things like:
